Cranc

Cranc is an AGV with wire guidance control used to transport boxes, cages and any element difficult to handle or move in tight places.


Cranc is equipped with mechanical sensors bumpers that automatically correct the manoeuvre in case of collision. This AGV operates perfectly to manoeuvre in all types of surface, including metal walkways.

Cranc is also equipped with rollers that operate load transfers. It is a single unit body composed of three different sections. The central section has two sets of motors and reduction gearboxes. The front section and the rear section are symmetrical. They are equipped with wheels that turn freely and are assembled to the main unit by balancing axles.

This design allows contact with the floor at all times and movement capacity.

Technical information

  • Cranc includes a control box, which is connected by wire to the AGV, so that it can be operated from the ground. This tool has been designed to make the driving more precise in difficult manoeuvres or when turning in tight places.
  • Cranc is capable of carrying and transporting loads up to 400 kg (882 lbs).
  • Its upper part has been equipped with rollers so it is easy to transfer loads and to place loads properly.
  • Its base is a combination of iron and aluminium, so that the necessary lightness and strength are ensured.
  • Cranc’s body is composed of three sections. The central section incorporates two sets of motors and reduction gearboxes, as well as the batteries and the drive wheels. This section also incorporates all electronic elements and connections.
  • This AGV includes a connection to the control box in both ends of the cart, so that there is no difference between the front section and the rear section.
  • Its wheels are at least 50 mm wide, so that the AGV can move on metal floors. It is equipped with six wheels; four wheels at the ends and two drive wheels in the middle.
  • A flexible joint that absorbs all potential impacts or knocks to avoid potential breakdown joins the reduction gearboxes, which have been patented by Esclatec.
  • The clutch of both motors can be released, so that the wheels are totally released too and the AGV can be pulled manually.
  • The control box includes an on/off switch, speed control devise, and battery’s recharge status illuminated gauge, joystick to control direction and guidance control to drive backwards.
  • Cranc has been equipped with mechanical sensors that can detect collisions, as well as illuminated signs and audible signals.
